The death of Lucknow café owner Shiva Sharma has taken a fresh turn as his mother, Ranjana Sharma, announced that she plans to raise the matter before Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. Speaking to the media, she said she would try to meet the Chief Minister at his public grievance hearing and explain her family’s pain. Her anger is directed at Shraddha Dubey, the main accused in the case, who has reportedly been giving media interviews while remaining out of police custody. Ranjana wants the accused to be arrested as soon as possible.

‘Why Is She Giving Interviews Instead of Facing Police?’

Ranjana Sharma questioned how Shraddha could continue speaking to the media if she was wanted by the police. She claimed that the accused was appearing before cameras with makeup on and did not seem distressed. According to Ranjana, Shraddha carries a reported reward of ₹50,000, and anyone interviewing her should have informed the police about her whereabouts. She also questioned why Shraddha was not appearing before investigators if she believed she had done nothing wrong.

Mother Challenges Shraddha’s Version of Events

The controversy centres on the death of Shiva Sharma, who died under suspicious circumstances on October 9 in the Balu Adda area of Hazratganj, Lucknow. Shraddha has reportedly claimed that Shiva jumped from a balcony in front of her and that his death was a suicide. Responding to this account, Ranjana questioned why Shraddha did not immediately inform the police if events had unfolded as she described. She also argued that someone who claims to know details about the investigation and CCTV footage should cooperate with the authorities rather than remain out of reach.

Jewellery Theft Allegations Draw a Sharp Response

Ranjana also responded to Shraddha’s allegations concerning jewellery theft and aspects of Shiva’s personal life. She said she was not interested in discussing anyone’s private life and that allegations involving theft should be addressed through the police and courts. According to her, the family’s priority is justice for Shiva, not a public exchange of personal accusations. She questioned why such claims were being discussed in media interviews instead of being presented before the appropriate authorities.

Family Wants Arrests but Trusts the Investigation

Ranjana expressed distress over the fact that the main accused and other suspects had not yet been arrested. She appealed to the police and administration to take prompt action. However, when asked whether the police were being negligent, she said she did not believe the investigation was being mishandled and felt the case was moving in the right direction. She added that she did not have complete information about transfers of local officials but remained determined to seek justice for her son.

Case May Reach the Chief Minister’s Public Hearing

Ranjana reiterated that her family remains deeply affected by Shiva’s death and wants the authorities to establish the truth. She plans to approach CM Yogi Adityanath’s public grievance hearing to present her concerns directly. The family is particularly upset by the accused’s public statements while she remains outside police custody. The case continues to draw attention as the family seeks the arrest of Shraddha Dubey and other accused. The allegations and competing accounts will need to be examined through the ongoing legal process.
