A minor was allegedly stabbed to death and another teenager injured following a dispute involving a girl in Delhi’s Pitampura, police said. Four juveniles have been apprehended in connection with the incident, which took place on October 20 near Chaudhary Dairy in the QU Block area. The incident has raised fresh concerns over violent confrontations among young people in the national capital.
One Victim Declared Dead at Hospital
According to police, the injured victims, identified as Ashu and Arun, were taken to BSA Hospital for treatment. Arun was declared brought dead, while Ashu sustained a stab wound. Investigators suspect that an argument related to a girl preceded the attack. The accused allegedly assaulted both victims with a dagger. The exact sequence of events and the circumstances that led to the confrontation are being examined as part of the investigation.
Police Recover Suspected Weapon
An FIR has been registered at Maurya Enclave police station under Sections 103(1), 109(1) and 3(5) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), police said. A blood-stained dagger, suspected to have been used in the attack, was recovered at the instance of one of the apprehended juveniles. Police are continuing their investigation to establish the precise role of each juvenile and verify the events leading up to the incident. Since the accused are minors, further proceedings will be governed by the applicable juvenile justice process.
