The Uttar Pradesh Special Task Force (UP STF) has arrested Aamir, the former boyfriend of Shraddha Dubey, in connection with the murder of Lucknow businessman Shiva Sharma. Investigators allege that Aamir helped Shraddha escape to Nepal after the incident. His arrest marks the fourth in the case. Earlier, the STF arrested Shraddha, her sister Rashmi Dubey and driver Danish in Nagpur on Tuesday. Investigators are now examining the alleged support network that may have helped the accused evade the police. The case has drawn attention because of the businessman’s reported wealth and the circumstances surrounding his death.

Shraddha’s Transfer to Lucknow Underway

Authorities are working to bring Shraddha Dubey from Nagpur to Lucknow for further investigation. According to information from STF sources, delays in completing the required paperwork meant she could not be presented before a court on Tuesday. She was kept overnight at Hudkeshwar police station in Nagpur. On Wednesday morning, officials were preparing the necessary documents to present her before a court in Nagpur. Investigators are expected to seek transit remand so that she can be brought to Lucknow. Her transfer is an important step in continuing the investigation and questioning those arrested in connection with the case.

Police Investigate Those Who Allegedly Helped the Accused

The STF is also focusing on people suspected of helping the accused while they were on the run. According to police officials, more than six alleged helpers are under scrutiny. Two people have reportedly been detained for questioning, while Aamir has been arrested. Investigators are trying to establish who assisted Shraddha and the other accused after the incident, how they travelled and whether anyone helped them avoid detection. The investigation is now looking beyond the primary suspects to determine the extent of the alleged support network.

Alleged Escape Route to Nepal

During questioning, Aamir reportedly told investigators that he helped Shraddha leave Lucknow for Nepal on the night of October 9. Police sources allege that he personally took her to the Nepal border. Investigators are examining this account as they piece together Shraddha’s movements after the incident. The alleged journey could help police establish the timeline of the escape and identify any other people who may have assisted her. Authorities are also looking into whether the accused received help at different stages of their journey.

Fake SIM Card Allegation

Investigators also suspect that Aamir helped Shraddha stay in contact with others while she was evading the police. According to the information attributed to police questioning, Shraddha had switched off her mobile phone during the period she was on the run. Aamir allegedly arranged a SIM card using a false identity and gave it to her for communication. Police are examining the alleged use of the SIM card and any information it may provide about contacts, movements or assistance received during the escape. These details could become important evidence as the investigation progresses.

Investigation Into Shiva Sharma’s Death Continues

Aamir’s arrest has widened the investigation into Shiva Sharma’s murder, with police now examining both the alleged crime and the events that followed it. Investigators are expected to question the arrested suspects and verify the accounts provided during interrogation. The authorities are also looking into the possible involvement of other people who may have helped the accused flee. While police have made four arrests so far, the investigation remains focused on establishing each person’s alleged role and reconstructing the sequence of events surrounding Sharma’s death.
