A major development has emerged in the death of Biru Singh Bhadauria in Kanpur’s Hanumant Vihar area, where he was hit by a car on October 20, 2026. Police have arrested two accused, Rajveer and Pintu, after the victim’s family and an eyewitness alleged that the incident was not an ordinary hit-and-run but a deliberate attack linked to an old dispute. A third accused, identified as Mewa Yadav, is still being sought. The police have also recovered the vehicle allegedly used in the incident. The case has taken a serious turn as investigators examine the allegations and evidence surrounding Biru’s death.
Eyewitness Describes a Horrifying Incident
Vikram, who says he witnessed the incident, has provided an account of what happened that day. According to him, he was travelling with Biru on a motorcycle before getting off and continuing on foot after the two spoke along the way. Vikram alleged that a car struck Biru, causing both his hands to become trapped in the vehicle’s windshield area. He claimed the driver did not stop and continued driving while Biru remained caught against the car. Vikram said he followed the vehicle and other people also shouted at the driver to stop, but the car continued moving.
Family Suspects a Deliberate Attack
Biru’s family has alleged that his death was the result of a planned attack rather than a road accident. Relatives raised their concerns outside Hanumant Vihar police station and pointed to the recovered vehicle while demanding strict action. Police initially registered a case under provisions related to negligent driving and the incident was treated as a road accident. However, after the family’s complaint and further allegations, the case was registered under murder provisions, according to the report. Investigators are now examining the circumstances of the incident to establish whether the vehicle was deliberately used to attack Biru.
Two Accused Arrested, Third Suspect Sought
Police have arrested Rajveer and Pintu in connection with the case, while efforts are continuing to locate Mewa Yadav. The vehicle allegedly involved in the incident has also been recovered. Investigators are expected to examine the vehicle, CCTV footage and witness statements to reconstruct the sequence of events. The alleged connection to an earlier dispute is also being investigated. The arrests mark an important development in the case, but police will need to establish the specific role of each accused through evidence and further investigation.
Post-Mortem Report Reveals Eight Injuries
The post-mortem examination reportedly found eight serious injuries on Biru’s body. These included three injuries to the head, two near the chest and one each on the face, leg and left hand. According to the report, a severe head injury was identified as the main cause of death. The medical findings are now an important part of the investigation as police work to understand the nature of the incident and the injuries sustained by the victim. Investigators will consider the medical evidence alongside eyewitness accounts and other available material.
Police Investigate Alleged Murder Conspiracy
The case has drawn attention in Kanpur because of the eyewitness’s account and the family’s allegation that the incident was deliberate. Police are investigating the claims, examining the recovered vehicle and gathering evidence to determine exactly what happened on October 20. The search for the third accused is continuing. Investigators are also looking into the reported old dispute that may have preceded the incident. The final findings will depend on the evidence collected during the investigation, including medical reports, witness statements and any available CCTV recordings.
