The Uttar Pradesh Special Task Force (UP STF) has taken Shraddha Dubey to Lucknow after securing transit remand from a court in Nagpur, Maharashtra. Dubey, who was wanted in connection with the death of Shiva Sharma in Lucknow, was produced before the Nagpur court on Wednesday. The court permitted the UP STF to take her to Lucknow and present her before the local court by October 24. Officials expect the team to reach Lucknow on Thursday morning or afternoon, depending on the journey.

Sister and Driver Also Produced Before Court

According to STF officials, Dubey was produced before the Nagpur court along with her sister, Rashmi, and driver Danish. The Nagpur Police and UP STF personnel were present during the proceedings. The STF informed the court about the case registered in Lucknow and sought permission to transfer Dubey to Uttar Pradesh. Following the completion of the necessary legal formalities, the team reportedly began transporting her by road. The distance between Nagpur and Lucknow is approximately 900 kilometres. After reaching Lucknow, Dubey is expected to undergo a medical examination before being presented before the court.

Police May Seek Custodial Remand for Further Questioning
Police sources said non-bailable warrants had been issued against Dubey, her sister Rashmi and driver Danish. According to the report, Dubey will first be produced before the court, which will decide on the next legal steps. Investigators are also expected to seek her custodial remand for further questioning in connection with the case. Any decision on custody will depend on the court’s order.

What Is the Shiva Sharma Death Case?
Shiva Sharma died after reportedly falling under suspicious circumstances from a flat linked to Shraddha Dubey at Awadh Green in Lucknow’s Hazratganj area. Dubey has reportedly claimed that Sharma died by suicide. However, investigators are examining the circumstances surrounding his death, including injuries and marks reportedly found on his body. Allegations of torture have also been raised, but the exact circumstances and cause of death must be established through the ongoing investigation and legal proceedings.
