DDA Narela Flats : The Delhi Development Authority (DDA) has introduced an opportunity for low- and middle-income families hoping to buy a home in Delhi under its Awaas Nivesh Yojana 2026. The scheme offers 2,516 LIG flats in Pockets 3 and 6 of Sector G2 in Narela on a first-come, first-served basis. According to reports, prices start at approximately Rs 14.95 lakh after a 25% discount. Reports also indicate that all 2,516 flats were booked within just two hours of the booking launch.
Flats Available Across Two Pockets
The scheme includes 1,020 flats in Pocket 3 and 1,496 flats in Pocket 6. The approximate area of the flats in both locations is 49.90 square metres. After the discount, starting prices are around Rs 15.01 lakh in Pocket 3 and Rs 14.95 lakh in Pocket 6. These are low-income-group apartments with one bedroom, a hall and a kitchen. However, the final price of an individual flat may vary depending on its location and the applicable allotment details.
Metro Expansion Could Improve Connectivity
Transport infrastructure in Narela could improve in the coming years. According to reports, an extension of the Red Line metro towards Kundli in Haryana has been proposed. The planned corridor is approximately 26 kilometres long and is expected to include 22 stations. If completed, the project could improve connectivity between Narela and nearby areas. DDA has reportedly constructed around 62,801 flats in Narela so far, of which more than 31,000 have been allotted. The remaining flats are being offered through various housing schemes.
Complete Online Application Process
People interested in applying need to visit the official DDA website, DDA eServices or the Awaas Portal. New applicants must create an account and provide their PAN card, Aadhaar details and other required information. According to the available information, a non-refundable registration fee of Rs 2,500 applies. Applicants must then log in, select Awaas Nivesh Yojana 2026 and choose an available pocket, block and flat. Before proceeding, applicants should verify eligibility requirements and current availability on the official portal.
Booking Amount and Important Precautions
After selecting and locking a preferred flat, applicants must pay a booking amount of Rs 1 lakh online. Following payment, the flat is provisionally booked, and DDA issues a demand-cum-allotment letter. The report lists January 31, 2027, as the application deadline. However, given reports that all flats were booked shortly after the launch, applicants should first check actual availability on the portal. They should also carefully review payment conditions, deadlines for paying the remaining amount and the applicable allotment rules.
